Abhaynagar Adarsha Gurukul, an associaon registered under Sociees Act of West Bengal Registraon Act XXVI of 1961, on 3rd October, 2002. It's a non-profit, non-governmental organizaon providing an educaonal and socio-cultural associaon, engaged in various social service acvies for the poor, backward, underprivileged children, youth and women, and to make a greener- balanced – equal planet for all, where not a single child is malnourished and deprived from educaon and development is sustainable where human and other species can live in harmony.
Abhaynagar Adarsha Gurukul is situated in a remote village named Abhaynagar (Hageria) in the Keshiary CD block in the Kharagpur subdivision of the Paschim Medinipur district in the state of West Bengal, where mostly Schedule Tribe, poor, backward and underprivileged people. Their basic source of income is from farming. Their children lag behind and suffer in every field, but have understood the value and importance of educaon to get rid of poverty.
In our “Children's Orphanage”, orphans, poor, underprivileged, backward children stay and fulfill their educaon. We are taking full responsibility for those children by providing them free food, shelter, clothes, educaon, medical assistance, etc., irrespecve of caste, creed and class and religion and race. We strive to create a loving, family atmosphere, dedicated to help the children build character and develop academically and the confidence to become producve, self-supporng adults.
